Long before ‘gut health’ was a buzzword, I understood the importance of fostering health from the inside out.

I’m a qualified nutritional therapist, a busy mum of three, and a happy family cook.

My interest in gut health and nutrition began some 24 years ago when I started experiencing symptoms of fatigue, inflammation and poor gut health myself. Determined to treat myself as naturally as possible, I worked with a nutritionist who guided me through a gut-healing protocol. As well as improving my diet, she gave me supplements I’d never heard of and eliminated foods that put stress on my system.  Very quickly I noticed a profound difference in my energy levels, as well as improved wellbeing and overall health.

That was it. I became more and more interested in the science of evidence-based and functional nutrition. Fast forward a few years, and after taking time out to have my three children, I embarked on a 3-year qualification to become a Nutritional Therapist and I now blend nutritional science with my love of food.

I have experienced first-hand the power of nutrition and lifestyle interventions in recovering my own health and have also seen incredible results with clients and I’d like to help you to do the same.  Please get in touch to learn more about how I can help.

Your Glow Starts From Within

I’ve always understood that the food we eat, where it comes from and how we prepare it makes food more than just fuel, but this interest developed from a hobby to a belief after my own experiences with poor health.

I began to understand the link and the evident effects food had on my body.  It wasn't just about what I eliminated from my diet but what I added in and about making good lifestyle and exercise choices too.

Buoyed by my new energy and good health, I left my career in the city and decided to train as a reflexologist specialising in gut health, pregnancy and fertility.

During the eight years I worked as a reflexologist, which I loved, I spent many hours researching and trying alternative therapies such as reiki, acupuncture, yoga, and cranial osteopathy. Still, increasingly I became more interested in the science of evidence-based and functional nutrition, and I ended up back where I had started, in my kitchen with the fundamentals of food.

Convinced that a large part of my recovery and continued health was thanks to the changes I had and continue to make, I took the opportunity, whilst raising our three boys, to undertake  extensive training at the College of Naturopathic Nutrition in London, where I completed a 3-year Diploma in Nutritional Therapy, graduating with distinction. It is now my greatest passion.

Research Knowledge Inspiration and Updates

Every day more and more research comes to the fore highlighting how what we eat, the state of our gut and our overall well being are intimately linked.  I continue to draw on the latest research and to further my knowledge and professional development. After graduating from college I attended a further 2-year course in Functional Medicine through the Applied Functional Medicine Mentoring Program.  I had the pleasure of learning from some of the leading functional medicine practitioners, who guided both my clinical practice and developed my knowledge in laboratory testing.

Most recently, in 2022 I completed The SIBO Mastery Program to become an approved SIBO Doctor practitioner to better support people suffering from SIBO and gut disorders.

In addition, each year, I attend multiple advanced practice and continuing professional development classes, modules and webinars to continue my education and development.

I’m a member of the British Association of Nutritional Therapists (BANT) and the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC). And I have professional indemnity insurance for clinical practice.

“Kate is an extremely professional and thorough Nutritional Therapist. She is very knowledgeable and gave me a huge amount of support without dictating what I should do! I have an autoimmune disease (Lupus) and Kate’s approach was both thorough and considerate. We started to adjust my diet slowly with various supplements and some mindfulness added to my daily routine. I would not hesitate to recommend Kate to anyone who wishes to transform their health. She is very professional, caring, and helpful.”
